Since some time, there are tons of unnecessary POI symbols in many cities sitting on every ordinary residental building. These POIs supersede the also the street numbers.
E.g. have a look at

Most houses in the region get this symbol which is just distracting.
Probably, it is due to the tag
building=apartments
although most but not all buildings with this tag are affected.
