Navigator jams at same point on route each time

I occasionally drive the same route to and from London from the South Coast of the UK. Although I know the route, I have Navigator on in case I hit a detour.

The last four times, on the return journey, the phone has jammed at the same point on the route +/- 800 yards. It's the link road between the M23 Southbound and the A24.The only way out is to reboot the phone. I have tried restoring the SD card but it still does it. It sounds crazy - how can this be? It never jams anywhere else or on any other route. No trees to hide the satellites etc.

Any wisdom would really be appreciated.

MF doesn't find Fix - Windows CE Embedded 6.0

Hello Everyone!

Please someone help me: the current MF Navigator Free software doesn't find Fix, even after an hour... The driver is OK because another software (Desnav trial) can get Fix and finds satellites. Mapfactor says: "searching for internal GPS device" But this line is pale, isn't active. Under it there is an active line: Manual configuration. There I can adjust the Baud rate of the gps receiver. (Connected via USB) 
But no option to adjust Com Port.
On the screen I see this: GPS device: USB cable, 4800 baud. GPS state: connected. At the bottom of the screen: "The connection with the GPS device will soon break"

The device is called MMC 2190, it is in a new Lada Kalina (also in Granta) car. Win CE version: 6.0.0.3. Version CAN 1.13.  

What is the problem? Can somebody recommend me a solution to use this software?

Mapfactor Greece routing problem

Hi, I have a couple maps on my phone. Hungary, Serbia, Macedonia, Greece. If i give a greek ctiy as destination, "rounting not found" Why? Hungary is ok, serbia is ok, and Hungary is ok too. We'D like to go to Greece next week, but we cant use mapfactor cause of this problem. What sould i do?

Android: Connection to external (bluetooth) GPS doesn't work

I tried to use a tablet with bluetooth GPS connection. Although other aps like Satstat or Here shows the position (by means of a bluetooth GPS apps - tried 2 out of the playstore), the Navigator doesn't see it as a GPS device. It is waiting, waiting, waiting.

I have seen, you even offer BT GPS receivers, so what is wrong with my combination? Couldn't find something in the settings to solve this issue.
Again: Here as a navigation app works, but I would prefer Navigator.

The device I am running is an Android 4.4.4.

Full Screen (hide soft buttons on e.g. Sony Xperia)

Hi,

I got a new smartphone, Sony this time instead of Samsung, and there are on-screen soft buttons instead of separate ones. I knew that but what I did not knew: They don´t hide. I hoped to have a slightly bigger screen but now I have less than before :(

Hiding seems to be possible. The Sony Album for instance does what I expected: The buttons come up when you swipe upwards from the lower display border. The Sony camera reduces the symbols to dots and uses the full screen as well (no good version).

Question: Have you thought about a fullscreen mode as well? Your menu button could easily be put next to the other tip menus, and maybe you can even add the home/back screen there. I don´t know whether most of the smartphones have on-screen or separate buttons. But I hope that it´s worth doing such a change. With the new phone it´s even worse using Navigator, and it´s even not really faster with regards to map scrolling and stuff.

Passed Waypoint again in recalculated route

Problem with Wayoint: 

I planned a route to my destination, with one waypoint along the route. After having passed this waypoint, I had to stray from my route because of a road block. Instead of recalculating directly to my destination, the calculation again took the waypoint as part of the route, and Navigator wanted me to return first to this waypoint. I had to stop the navigation to program a new route directly to my destination.

Is there a solution for this problem, without stopping the navigation?

Strange behavior with the latest Italian map and custom car profiles

I am experiencing a strange problem after the latest update to the Italian map. I saved the previous version of this map, so I can make comparaisons.
With the new map, I found that certain well known routes (that I had used many times before) had changed. MFN is now preferring certain secondary roads, rather than primary roads or major roads. I have to say that most of the time, I use my own car profile and the problem exists not just with my profile but also with Shlublu's. (I had imported his profile a few months ago for testing). I made a test with default car settings and everythings works fine even with the new map. My car profile works fine only if I use the old Italian map.
At this point Tomas will reply: "Please provide coordinates and we'll check" :)
Coordinates are (for example) FROM 41°53'38.6"N 12°34'33.2"E TO 41°54'53.4"N 12°34'03.5"E
My car profile is:
motorway 105 70 50
primary road 80 30 50
major road 50 25 50
secondary road 50 23 50
local connecting road 50 20 50
local road of high importance 50 18 50
local road 50 15 50
small local road 50 13 50 (enabled)
other road (not enabled)
The result I would expect is that the fastest route is the same as the shortest route, which is the case with default car settings...

Road barrier with tags barrier=block, access=no, bicycle=yes does not allow routing for bicycles

Hi

A node on the way is indicated as a road barrier with tags barrier=block, access=no, bicycle=yes, foot=yes (https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/1218281514). However, routing through the barrier is not allowed in bicycle mode. Is it a bug of MFN or incorrect barrier tagging in OSM?

Dual carriageway/divided highway turn in wrong direction

Hi - a bit of advice on OSM features, please. I've searched the forum but haven't uncovered the answer to this problem. A pointer to an existing thread would be welcome, of course. The description following is for driving on the left, in New Zealand, and is in British English.

There's a junction I should be making a right turn at, a major intersection on a dual carriageway. But Mapfactor Navigator Free with Open Street Map plots a left turn to a junction further along the road where it asks for a U-turn. The traffic-light controlled junction in question is where a secondary road crosses a trunk road which is a dual carriageway. It seems that MFN does not know that a right turn is possible on the far side of the dual carriageway, instead preferring a left turn with the flow of traffic on the first carriageway before a U-turn to join the other carriageway. 

What data should be on the OSM map to help MFN compute a right turn? (Assuming the problem lies in the map data rather than MFN, of course.)

GPS not active on Lumia 735

I have instaled Maxfactor with tom tom maps on my Lumia 735
Since two days I receive info GPS not active.
As I know GPS is ok - I checked it in another apps.
Also location icon on map screen disappeared.

I deleted Mapfactor from my phone and downloaded and installed it again. 
Everything was OK but after ten minutes I again received info .... GPS not active.
I know that GPS is on and wisible for other apps like Here+ and GPS calculator

Mapfactor crash while trying to download Earth.osm

Hi all,
I'm using mapfactor quite a while onde several devices. But on an older phone (android 2.3.6) and mapfactor version 2.1.97 it crashes (proces com.mapfactor.navigator) when updating the maps. This has always worked without any problems, but not since the mapfactor forces to download a new version of Earth.osm. Currently I have version 41-201511100 and the new version of Earth.osm is 41-201604080. One other devices with newer versions this crash does not occur and the maps are updated correctly.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue?

GPS Info Satellite Colors

GPS Info Satellites:
The height of the bar in the bar graph, I think, indicates signal strength.
The number under each bar, I think, indicates the number of the specific satellite.
I don't know what the colors of the bars mean.  
I assume that green indicates that my GPS device has locked on to that specific satellite.
However, I have seen red bars that are higher than green bars.
And I have seen some bars that are yellow.
Does anyone know what the colors mean?

Full Screen Display

The Android head unit in my car does not display the Navigator map full screen. As a result the main menu is not displayed correctly with the text being cut off under the icons. By default the system audio app tab is displayed on the top section of the screen. I installed Sygic and it does display full screen so it must be a function of the app to request the use of full screen from the Android OS. I have tested the Navigator free maps on the head unit and it works very well, Sygic crashed after 20 minutes and would not restart.

Avoid part of route option or request

Is it possible to select a particular road in the route (ex: M25) and select to avoid this section? if this does not exist could it become a future function please.
