Some questions
I have been using Mapfactor with TomTom maps etc. for a few days and have some questions which I hope can be answered. I am running the latest Beta.
1 My Garmin allows me to block off roads and areas so that I won't be routed through them. Can I do this with Navigator?
2 I may have been lucky, but does the system warn you about traffic and then offer alternatives?
3 Is it possible to stop my imported POIs showing on the map when driving?
4 Do the speed preferences override the default mapping algorithm for each map (OSM and TomTom)? The reason I ask this is that I have given minor roads a very low speed (5 mph) and low (5%) preference and the system is still routing me down single track lanes. These are the ones that I have blocked on the Garmin hence question 1.

Traffic Handling

railway station
Hey,
I miss railway stations in the free map :/
It would be great if they are not only visible in the map but also can be used for pedestrian and bicycle routing (bicycle should be calculated with slow speed, but normally there is no problem to access the station with a bike)

Incorrect address searching
Hi, I have a lot of problems when searching an address although it exists in OSM data. A few examples:
Östereich, Hainzenber, Dörfl 393 - this address can not be found. Mapfactor doesn't know the street Dörfl.
Polska, Częstochowa, Generała Kazimierza Pułaskiego 86 - The house number can not be found, although it clearly exists in OSM.
Česko, Plzeň, Univerzitní 1159/53 - First search for Plzeň. After typing PLZ The first 10 results are villages containing "u Plzně" as description. It really makes sens to sort the results relevant to their size and show big cities first. Then search for Univerzitní. You get 2 results although there is only one street with this name. If you are not lucky and choose the first one, you won't find the house number you are looking for.
I think the search algorithm needs some improvements to be as reliable as in other navigation applications which all I tried found these addresses without any problems.

Importing routes
Is there a way to import routes in GPX format which have been created in something else. I tried dropping the GPX file into the folder GPX and can see it but can't seem to use it as a route.

I know I am being dim, but if I change the settings for speeds etc. should I untick 'Use Speed Restrictions' as that uses the road speed according to the map data or am I totally wrong?

How to install NavigatorFREE on PND device
First of all make sure you have Windows CE device and you know the path to the navigation program (on some devices you can change the path to the navigation program through the settings menu).

I'm a Frenchman, my english is not so good...
I use Mapfactor with my Galaxy Tab 10. I love this application.
I have loaded the files for speedcameras.
I see the icons on the card but no sound.
I check and I have seen that 3 files exist in the subdirectory "warningsounds".
Can you help me ?

Imported track Route not found
I often import tracks from a PC Software. I convert them with the app "Route Importer".
So I have them under "My Places" "My Routes". I load them and have many Routing Point.
When I calculate the route I often get the message "Route not found".
Is there a possibility to recognizes which Routing Point is the problem?
Up to now I dismark manually some routing points until the calculation works, but that can´t be a solution!!
Why can´t there be a hint "Route not found at Waypoint xyz"??

Software render vs. Hardware render: What is the status?

We are now 2 years further (or so) after the first start of the hardware render.
- What are MNF's plans? Completely switch to hardware render?
- Having the setting to automatic: What determines whether your app chooses for hardware render or software render?
Is there some algorithm run at startup to check the difference? I have for example an Samsung S5 Mini and a Joying JY-VL130N2 Intel Sofia 3GR head unit in my car (recently). Both switch automatically to software render whereas I think (because I tested it), that they can both run easily on hardware render. So how is this decided? Or is it always software because hardware is still beta?
- If hardware is still beta: what determines whether it will no longer be beta?

Navigator Free with delivery routes
Just downloaded the Android app and am playing around with the functionality to see if it's applicable to the purpose I am trying to use it for. I have a fixed, predetermined newspaper delivery route where (almost) everyone on the route receives the paper. Looking to define the route in Navigator Free and have the app give me turn by turn directions while I concentrate on throwing and skipping the addresses which have requested no delivery. The route typically involves staying right on a street and throwing one side, doing a U-turn at the end or at a predetermined spot, then retracing your path and throwing the other side. Are there any problems you can see with this approach?
I seem to be able to define the route using a starting point, waypoints, and a destination or end of route. I am not creating a waypoint for every physical delivery addresses but rather just enough to make a route which doubles back on itself. But I cannot use any route optimization features as that seems to change the route based on speed or distance, etc.. Calculate Route does not seem to alter the route however, just create the turn by turn directions. Is that correct?
I also have a question about the Simulate function. Is that intended to walk through the whole route or only a portion thereof? The latter is what the function does when I run it but the former would be great as a way of verifying that I created the route correctly without going up and navigating it.
Curious also about the TomTom maps that can be purchased. What granularity is displayed on these for the USA? Is there a layer like what Google earth displays or are they still street maps fundamentally? I would love to see the outline of individual houses shown on the map...

es wäre klasse, wenn mir jemand in Deutsch antworten könnte- so toll ist mein Englisch nicht...
Ich versuche nun seit Tagen, meine POIs für Mapfactor zu konvertieren. Haut aber einfach nicht hin.
Ich habe Linux Mint. Wine und DiggerQt habe ich installiert.
Ich kann Digger über Wine öffnen (Digger habe ich unter home/Weitere Programme).
Meine .gpx-Datei: Connection failed. Ausserdem hätte ich auch gar nicht gewusst, wie ich angeben soll, wie Digger Lon & Lan findet.
Meine .csv-Datei: Ich gebe die Datei an >Next: ich gebe an, wo Digger Lon & Lan findet >Next. Dann erscheint folgende Fehlermeldung:
