Hello,
In selecting the POI to be displayed on the map , there are no " Public Toilet " (WC) ?
And it is not possible to navigate to the " Public Toilet " closest ?
The add is a PLUS !

Hi,

I got a new smartphone, Sony this time instead of Samsung, and there are on-screen soft buttons instead of separate ones. I knew that but what I did not knew: They don´t hide. I hoped to have a slightly bigger screen but now I have less than before :(



Hiding seems to be possible. The Sony Album for instance does what I expected: The buttons come up when you swipe upwards from the lower display border. The Sony camera reduces the symbols to dots and uses the full screen as well (no good version).

Question: Have you thought about a fullscreen mode as well? Your menu button could easily be put next to the other tip menus, and maybe you can even add the home/back screen there. I don´t know whether most of the smartphones have on-screen or separate buttons. But I hope that it´s worth doing such a change. With the new phone it´s even worse using Navigator, and it´s even not really faster with regards to map scrolling and stuff.

Using mapfactor on android with tomtom-maps europe since 2013 I am planing a trip to Romania now and found that major streetnames are missing on mapdisplay and in database, f.e. in the center of Timisora . Is there an issue with my tomtom maps and what can I do ?

Hello,

during a phone call, the application down the guide volume but when the conversation is over , the application does not go the guidance volume .

On motorcycle, I can not handle the volume , so no audio guide .

lors d'un appel téléphonique, l'application baisse le volume de guidage mais lorsque la conversation est terminée, l'application ne remonte pas le volume du guidage.

A moto, je ne peux pas gérer le volume, donc pas de guidage audio.

bonsoir,
j'ai téléchargé le GPS Mapfactor avec des cartes et j'ai déclaré un itinéraire fictif pour tester le logiciel et je suis tomber certainement sur un bug.
Quand je veux simuler l'itinéraire en appuyant sur la touche "simuler" il apparait une fenêtre qui m'indique "Voulez vous arrêter la navigation" et je reviens à la page d'accueil ????? sans pouvoir simuler mon itinéraire.
Comment corriger cette anomalie?

I miss some POI types in Navigator 11 free like, which would be very helpful for me:

amenity=toilets

amenity=atm

highway=rest_area

tourism=picnic_site

Is there a possibility to add them, as they are actually in Openstreetmap-Data available ?

since yesterday I get 'Failed to download list of available maps. Try again later, please' when I try to download maps on my Android phone. Is there a problem with my phone or with the server?

Hi folks,

I have updated today to latest version 2.1. As there have been many stability and hardware rendering improvements, I have finally changed my renderer to hardware.

Unfortunately my device heats up pretty much. This was not the case with software renderer.
Does somebody know what the reason might be?

Hello,

Love your app! Especially the footer. Can you please remove the seconds from "Time to destination" panel? They are useless, force font size to be too small and reserves valuable space from the panels width.

Après avoir programmé un itinéraire et l'avoir testé sur la route, les informations routières sont correctes mais je suis obligé de rester les yeux sur l'écran car il n'y a aucune informations sonores sur le trajet du genre "tournez à gauche ou allez tout droit) comme le font tous les GPS, la seule voix que j'entends c'est à la programmation de l'itinéraire qui dit " nous recalculons votre itinéraire" puis plus rien c'est le silence complet ?
Qu'est-ce que j'ai oublier de faire ????

Hi, I'm a long time Mapfactor user and since version 2.X I have serious problem with application stability.

My current phone is Asus Zenfone 5, Android 4.3, 2GB RAM and Intel Atom Z2560 SoC.
Stock software 1.18.40.10, Kernel 3.4.43. Without Google Play Services (framework is present, Google Play store works)

Application can crash anytime for no apparent reason. On early 2.0.x builds from Google Play it could barely download map data due to constant crashing.

Today I've tested version 2.1.56 and still it sooner or later crashes. Version 2.0.33 from Google Play, marked as stable on your server, isn't any better.
Enabling hardware accelerated renderer only makes things much worse. Everything works, but is very unstable.

Version 1.6.20 is the last stable version and the one I'm currently using.
It works like a charm, rock solid, but I bought premium features mega pack and wanted to upgrade :) And restarting app while driving a car is somewhat dangerous  :P

I've never had any problems with 1.x series on any phone. I even have on old PXA270 Windows Mobile running MapFactor :D

Hello, I am new here. My name is Oliver and I come from Germany. I wonder where I can activate the Hardware acceleration under WindowsCE. Managed to activate it under Android but since I also run NavigatorFree on a WinCE-device I have searched for this option everywhere but couldn't find it. Seems that this option isn't available under WinCE which would be very sad because the graphics look very odd without acceleration. I'd be very glad if someone could help me. Thanks

I was looking for the POI "park Arboretum Trompenburg" in Rotterdam but I could not find it in Navigator. I knew it had to be there as I had already found it sometime earlier in another OSM nav app.

It is this relation: http://www.openstreetmap.org/relation/5972753

It is tagged with leisure=park

I tried 3 apps and Navigator is the only one who did not find it. Is Navigator only able to find "node" POIs, in relation to "way" and "relation" POIs?

If so, Navigator misses a lot of POIs.

When I move the map to the specific location and click the park and request info it does mention "Arboretum Trompenburg". So Navigator does know it.

What kind of bug is this? Please solve

Je suis incapable de m'exprimer en anglais. Néanmoins, je pourrai comprendre une ou des réponses !

Je trouve le produit très sympathique avec une ergonomie facile à appréhender.

Il y a bien quelques bugs et plantages mais ailleurs aussi !

J'ai installé Navigator depuis Google Play Store sur mon smartphone android 4.4.4.

J'avais compris sur google play store que le système alerte en cas de dépassement de la vitesse autorisée.

En fait cette fonctionnalité est très incomplète.

Par exemple, sur autoroute, la plupart du temps je peux rouler à 150 Km/h au lieu de 130 autorisé sans alerte émise par le système.

C'est un point auquel je suis très attaché et avec cette fonctionnalité complètement opérationnelle, le produit serait vraiment génial.

Pensant bien faire, j'ai acheté une carte TomTom, qui est présentée comme plus complète sur ce point. En vain. Cela ne résout pas le problème.

Si j'ai bien compris, il serait possible d'importer un fichier scout (?) contenant les limites de vitesse grâce à MapExplorer ou DiggerQt....

J'avoue que la démarche m'est incompréhensible.

Quelqu'un peut il me donner les explications nécessaires ?

Hello,

A motorcycle, it is not easy to navigate through menus with gloves.

On routes with several stages, if there is construction (A) or an error on the map
or a detour road (B) and that the next step is bypassed,
Navigator will absolutely go through this step and recalculates every time.

A function on the main screen would be practical ,
for example upon contact with the screen, a message saying " Delete Next step ? " avoid these problems.

The best would be an automatic function detecting our position and detecting that the distance from the intended step.
This function would calculate the next step of our position,
remove all previous steps (D) and calculate the direction of the nearest step (C).

Hello

I have Navigator installed on 2 different Samsung smartphones. The first with Android 2.3.6, the second with 5.0.1

Since some days, Navigator worked more and more worse by sudden stopping to run. System message appeared and report has been send.

I tried to deinstall the app, checked for remaining files and re-installed the app.

Now not even loading maps works.

What to do? Thanks for any tip or hint.
