Trying to move My Places to a new phone...

My old phone was an LG running Android 4.1.2 and I had lots of "My Places" on the SD card. I moved my SD card to my new LG running Android 5.1.1

I had used Android Assistant to move the entire MapFactor app to the SD card, then just popped it into my new phone. The "My Places" are there, but the maps can NOT be updated on the new phone.

So my question is really two fold.
First, I need to save "my Places" in a safe place, and move them to another copy of my OLD 4.1.2 phone.
The "My Places" are the most important files, I can always download the maps again... So what do I save and copy to safe place. The .GPX files? Or what and where are the waypoints I have saved in the "My Places?"

Second, do I just download all the OSM maps again on the 5.1.1 phone?

Gibt es zusätzlich zu den Straßenkarten  auch Outdoorkarten zum Download - etwa für Mountainbiker, Wanderer, udgl.?

MapFactor hangs when calculate a specific address on WP 8.1 (but maybe on Android and IOS too?)

Hello,

first of all: Sorry for my modest english. I have a Lumia 820 and the newest version of MapFactor. Usually the calculation of a route works fine. But today i wanted to navigate to the following address: Austria, Villach, Seepromenade 11. This resulted in a calculation loop without any error message. My handy got realy hot after a while so i stoped the calculation (click the "stop" button). So i tried to calculate another route (a route which normaly works fine) but this ends again in endless calculation. After i closed the app and started it again, the app works fine again but the same thing happens again after navigate to the address mentioned above. I tried it with different routing settings but it was not possible to route to this address.

Other navigation programms like here or tomtom or garmin has no problem to route to this address. Can someone verify this problem and try to navigate to this address?

Device Reset

I had to reset my device, after installing the app I can not load Tom Tom commercial maps any more, getting error message (invalid key). I used your build in option with email and order ID and got no answer, the SD card containing the files and maps suffered no changes. Please this is urgent. Thank you for your help.

"Navigate Home" icon/shortcut on phone screen

Hi,

"Another nav app" has the possibility of creating a "go Home" (or "Navigate to Home") icon/shortcut on the app screen of your phone (so not in the app itself). I tried that now 2 times and it is really excellent.
You get in the car, tap the "Go Home" icon on your phone screen and then it's automatic: it opens the nav app, calculates a route from your current position to your home address and starts the navigation. It couldn't be simpler. Just select one of your favorites as  "home" destination and the icon is created.

I would like that too in my favorite nav app :)

(Please "up vote" (blue counter in front of this post) if you would like to see that feature too).

(Edit: this could work both on Android and Windows)

Do I have to purchase the maps again to re-download them?

I recently changed my phone because the old one was damaged, do I have to re-purchase the maps again or can I download them the one I've purchased before.

Disappearing Map

Hi,

yesterday, for the second time in six weeks or so, Navigator suddenly claimed "No map installed", and, as on the first occasion, a look inside the data directory showed that the file for my regional map was still there, but only with a size of 128 kB.
(Luckily, I had a recent back up of my device's complete data - all yesterday I could not acess your map server, eithe via 3g or via WiFi).

Is this a recognised problem, or was I simply unusually unlucky?

Google playstore credit for truck maps?

I was very badly surprised when I bought and activated a 50,- € playstore card to my playstore account for buying the truck maps. On the checkout for purchase I could only choose between paypal and another credit card type payment. Is this not possible to use the playstore credits for buying the truck maps, or maybe this will take some time until your in app shop is updated with the playstore credit information? 

If that's really the case that you cant use the playstore credit then please add this information to the FAQ, and maybe also on the playstore website for the future. Maybe silly from me to assume that I got your app from the playstore an then I would obviously use playstore credits for in app purchase?

Is there a way to transfer the playstore credits to another accout like paypal?

Auto map color change by Day and Night ???

Is there any way to make Navigator change the color of the map automatically during the day or the night ?
I can see that there is a manual button but I can't find anywhere an automatic change option.

I'm running Navigator 15 on a wince5 device.

Navigator 15 running on Philips CED1800BT. GPS set to automatically update system time (and it does - altered radio time and then switched automatically adjust and time reset back to GPS time). In the Select panes screen Navigator 15 time is exactly 4 hours ahead of GPS. Looks like I'm in the incorrect time zone but there is not an option to set the time zone in Navigator 15

On my Samsung Galaxy Y Android 2.3 is the Play Store broken. It will be nice to download the apk-file. The Play Store installed before broken, a older version (1.6 and not 2.0). Maybe Version 2.0 will also work with Android 2.3.6.

Arrivaltime always 1hour late

It refers to Navigator Free on carradio, wince version.
In driving mode the arrival time is always the correct current time plus the correct duration time plus 1 hour. Does anybody have an idea?

can't get nav free to load maps

I am in the usa, and downloaded the 47gb planet osm form OpenStreetMap.org.
As I am a newbee...I need some help
I can not get the free ver to display the map I downloaded from OpenStreetMap
I tried the obvious and moved the file to C:\Program Files (x86)\Navigator15\PC_Navigator\config\map

None of the maps that the program brings up under the "free regions" is in the USA..
So I Downloaded the Planet file from OpenStreets and tried to run it...no luck..
Please help.

Hi,

for Win Phone 10, there is the v1.0.10.4 available while users of Android can already enjoy the (better) v2.0.30 DEV.
How can we get the same on Windows? Any preview download available?

Strange distances to next turn shown

Hi,

MFN Free always writes out "112 m", "473 m" or similar while the speech announcements are ok "in 100 metres ...". In an ancient discussion I got told that the written distance is due to an internal measurement in non-metric units.
Since the vast majority of users is assumed to use the metric system, consider to display appropriate values. I'm a sw engineer myself and I do not consider this as a complicated change.
