Navigator closes/crashes after pressing "navigate"
Hello out there,
I've been using Navigator on my BB Q10. It worked perfectly with the free maps but since I bought the TomTom maps, it became useless. I choose the desired destination and after I press the "Navigate" button, the app closes down. I reinstalled the app, deleted and re-downloaded the maps, but the problem appears to remain. The app keeps closing down, while it's still "kinda" running in the background. When I reopen it, the app runs a "data integrity check". Is there anyone experiencing the same?

At present time I try to understand which is better for me: Mapfactor Navigator OR Copilot. So I going to buy one of them for my Samsung S3…
One of thing that I like in the Copilot that it has most of addresses (inkl home numbers) in Montreal area and I checked it in its trial period. Actually I like more the Mapfactor Navigator, it is I kind of feel myself more safe during driving with the Mapfactor: its commands more clear for me and I can work with its interface (also during driving) more comfortable.
But I not sure about payment map ie Tom Tom Maps.
Will it have such details (ie addresses) like the Copilot?

MapFactor 2.0.30: Routing points saved, but how to import later?
Hi,
I use MapFactor 2.0.30 on an Samsung Tab 10.1 with Android 4.4.4.
I can create a set of ROUTING POINTS. There is a button "Save as", but after saving (and clearing the routing points), there is no way I can import the saved routing points.
Ah, yes, I found a file called "routing_points.xml" through the plain Android file browser; but where inside MapFactor can I look for my saved routing points files?

Navigator Free - Window, Border and Button settings
I'm trying out Navigator Free on my Eonon G2116 7" screen head unit. Problem is that some of the buttons along the top edge of the window are so small that they won't activate when touched with my fat fingers. Can one of the settings or configuration files (xml) be changed to modify either the window size, location, or border size to accommodate my touch screen?
If I use a touch pen it obviously works. So the issue is the top border size (not wide enough). Otherwise, this program seems pretty awsome. The only other thing I would like to do is to change my background map colors to perhaps white instead of beige.
Any help would be appreciated.

Replacing Kudos Navigation with Navigator on Eonon head unit - Success!
I recently purchased a Eonon 7" head unit with navigation for my '2000 528i. The head unit came with the Kudos navigation and maps on the sd card, but I wasn't liking it. So I went to the MapFactor website and selected the link for Navigator Free using my laptop. I ran the setup program and followed all the instructions and installed to my formatted micro sd card, then again following the instructions, I downloaded the Florida maps. Piece of cake.
Without any file manipulation whatsoever, I just powered up the head unit, selected the navigation path under settings, inserted the new sd card with Navigator, and it showed up on the list. I went thru the basic setup for the gps and it located the receiver automattically. Then I started Navigator and it loaded and worked without a hitch, except for the small "back" button and my fat finger conflict as noted in my previous post. It I can get that resolved, I'll be looking at purchasing their truck software for my service business. Kudos to MapFactor (no pun intended).

Navigator makes sounds but no voice instructions
G'day,
sorry if this question has been raised a thousand times but my Tevion (Aldi) 3 1/2" GPS Wince 4.2 with external 2 gig Sd card has no voice instructions.
I re-installed the whole thing with latest OZ maps and chose en for language but I get no voice instructions, I've checked "Settings" but can't see an enable/disable, I can however remember choosing default Win sounds somewhere but can't recreate being asked to choose something else.
Any help with be gratefully received,

How do you use Digger
I'm new to navigator, and help gave me the digger zip file but it I cannot figure out how to use it.
Can I just convert my OV2s or KML files to whatever format (whatever it is? ) is needed externally with POIEdit etc, and simply copy them into the relevant folder.
I have perhaps 50 or more different POI sets which I use intermittently, but need to be able to switch them on and off as in Maps.me so I don't have a screen cluttered with POIs I don't need at the moment.

strange behaviour in Navigator free Android
hello,
i noticed a strange behaviour in the Android version of Navigator Free: 2.0.30.DEVELOP (downloaded from the "Play Store")
i have converted 30 POIs from .csv to .mca with Digger , the problem is within
the Camera alert POI selection: i have more than one poi that i want to be alerted when near.
what I do
1. settings -> Camera -> place a check-mark (the blue "V" like symbol) on some POI to be alerted when near it
2. scroll down the list (the first POIs disappear from view) to check some other POI
3. scroll back up and the check-mark on the POIs that disappeared from view because of the scrolling action are now on OTHER POIs which
i did not initially select!
if i go back with the "<--" button without scrolling the screen then the selection is preserved
but every time i scroll the list to select/deselect some POIs, the POIs that have the "V" blue check-mark change randomly!
example:

Strange routing

i noticed a strange routing trying navigator free on Android

I've tried to find the issue on openstreetmaps but there are no broken connections or parts of the road marked as one way.

Official Blackberry 10 version
Hello together,
I had an Android phone before and really liked Mapfactor.
Now I have a Blackberry Passport and also use Mapfactor (as the Blackberry OS has an Android port installed in the OS).
In general, it works flawlessly.
I'm asking you to offer an official Blackberry version in the Blackberry Market. I think, a lot of Balckberry people don't know Mapfactor, but would like to use it.
There are just some minor things, that have to be added to make it run perfect on Blackberrys.
1.Closing of Mapfactor: Mapfactor can only be closed through the exit button in Mapfactor. Blackberry offers active frames with the option to close an app. Unfortunately, the closing option does not work (Mapfactor disappears but still runs in the background and uses the battery). Could you please add this feature?
2.Active frames: the above mentioned active frames are not supported by Mapfactor. It would be great to have an arrow navigation as active frame. Could you please add this feature?
3.Running with screen turned off: unfortunately, Mapfactor loses the GPS signal as soon as the screen turns off. Could you please add an option to make it continue running?
4.Back button: it is necessary to click the back button twice when searching for an adress to get back. Could you please change this?

Is Navigator compatible with MirrorLink ?
Hello,
First I warmly congratulate the developpers of Navigator. This app greatly assisted me along the 3000km that I drove in Australia last July.
I plan to buy a new small car (Peugeot 108 or Citroen C1 or Toyota Aygo) with the function MirrorLink (http://www.mirrorlink.com/) that can duplicate the screen of my smartphone to the touch screen of the car, but only the apps that are compatible with MirrorLink can run. More and more cars are compatible with it now. Google Maps can run but without mobile data, it is useless.
Any information about MirrorLink and its CCC with Navigator ?

Map transfer MSC mode vs. MTP mode
This may be not a problem of Navigator, but it is my problem with map transfer. Maybe somebody can help me.
I tried to sync map with my phone explorer over wifi and/or usb connection, what failed. Many maps on the phone were lost.
So I tried a "simple" usb connection and manual file transfer.
What I am wondering, that using mtp mode for the connection to the external sd card, in my Win10pro PC I could apparently view the relevant directory of the device (xperia z1 compact; 5.1.1) but this was obviously an old version.
Using msc mode for the device I saw the real directories of the device as I see it in Total Commander for Android inside the phone.
Does anybody know, why mtp mode shows old statuses on the PC and how I could change this?

Using smartphone as GPS navigator in a car

I try to use the Mapfactor as GPS navigator while driving. Usually I use the Flight mode but once I forgot to switch it on and when I received call - navigator +map disappeared and I saw only "calling interface"... I tried to reset it but it appeared again and again :) .
Then once I forgot to switch my phone to "normal mode" from "Flight mode" and missed lot of calls.
What mode (flight or automatic rejecting calls) do you use in your smartphone when you use it as GPS navigator?
Is there any special programs which can keep a call in background mode and I could speak with a caller by using bluetooth?

Alarm and map rotation on new tablet/instal
Samsung Galaxy Tab A / MFN 2.0.30-DEVELOP OSM USA Texas map installed 11 Dec.
Very strange but on first test navigating on trip of ~150 miles on highway with speed limits in OSM map at each minor road crossing an alarm would sound and the map would rotate to the angle of the minor road then rotate back. On a highway with no speed limits in the map there was no alarm but the map would still rotate. Driving @ 60mph speed limit 70. No car profile set.
On a slightly older nook HD+ with rooted custom ROM MFN 2.0.30 and probably month old map navigation is normal. Also using external GPS receiver on the nook. But no map rotation at minor road crossings.
Anyone have any ideas why the new Tab A and new instal would rotate the map? I finally muted the sound as only way to get rid of the alarms. Sounded like a very sick goose.

I have a double din car gps/audio device that runs on wince5. I want to install navigator15 free on it to test if it works and then upgrade to navigator15 (commercial version).
I installed everything on the SD card which now contains a cab file, the language pack and the maps files.
How do I install these to my device.
I know it is a simple procedure but I'm now to this wince stuff.

What is kitkat_hack MP3 file on my device?
Hello MapFactor Navigator gurus,
I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 4 running Android 5.1.1 and have recently noticed a file called kitkat_hack.mp3 on my device. This is inside of ../data/com.mapfactor.navigator/files/...
Please could you let me know if this is a valid file (and, if so, what is it?) or have I inadvertently downloaded something dodgy?

Keep the pointer centered.
How would I adjust Navigator to keep the arrow centered on the screen of my tablet so that I do not have to center it all of the time? As I am navigating on the overhead screens, the arrow runs off the screen. It would be better if the map moved so that the arrow is always in the center. Any ideas?? Thank you.
