Running Navigator Free in Android 5 leads to error message as 'folder set as read-only...Android 4.4 or higher'. How can I get access to downloaded maps?

TTS: make mentioning of street name configurable
When using tts you get an instruction like: "turn left into Champs Elyssee" (Paris) or "turn right into Calle de sta Engracia" (Madrid).
And this is exact the problem with a non-native TTS like in above examples with english TTS in France and Spain.
There is no (free Google) Danish tts and I don't speak French well enough and I don't speak Swedish or Spanish at all, which means I use the Dutch TTS in those countries.
In general when you only use one TTs or a few TTs's, you have the issue that street names are hardly understandable at best and complete garbage in general when using it in a country differently from the TTS language.
For such a situation it would be nice to have the option to switch of the pronunciation of street names as they are not useful and only distracting and confusing.
So, the feature request: Make pronunciation of street names configurable.

Search Google Favourites
Is there a way, or will there be a way to utilise all my saved Google map bookmarks. With using android always, I have a lot of favourites I have saved in my Google bookmarks account, and prefer to keep them there as I add to it all the time. Also, what about accessing my mobiles address book to navigate to, and/or add waypoints if required to my destination.
I see I can search an Address, Search through Google Web, Search POI.

Navigating totally wrong and long way (set to short distance)
Why is this routing wrong...
Come out of drive..
Cross over road through gap and turn right onto destination...
Oh no... Turn left
Go nearly a mile out of the way to end up 150 yards to the right on the route to destination.

Curious ways...distance increases immens
Hi all, i habe a problem with MapFactor:
I made a trip from Essen to Hennef, ca. 110 km.
Software wanted me To go A3 To Frankfurt, and then a large curve back to target. 381km...
Way back was similar confusing: See attached screenshot...
No other routing points are set, car modus with shortest way...
Used in my mobile, THL 100S sich Android 4.4.2 (CM).
Edit: MapFactor is 2.0.33

Cannot switch between different Profiles
Hi,
I use the Navigator on my Android 5.0 phone (LG H440-N) and it worked fine. But since a few days I cannot change Profiles (car, pedestrian, bus etc). Any ideas?

No house number selection
According to the user manual, "Once you see your street in the list tap it. You will now be asked to select a house number from the ranges shown in the list." But that's not what happens. When I tap the street name it brings up a list of street junctions, not house numbers. How can I enter a house number? Thanks.

Navigator still giving directions after exit
I have been searching and not finding anyone else complaining about this odd behaviour.
When I exit Navigator (while navigating) using the Exit button, which I always follow with swiping away from the running app list, Navigator often continues to tell me where to go.
It seems I had this problem quite a while back, and not for a while, but now it has happened several times, perhaps since the latest Android version.
I have tried starting Navigator again, exiting again, etc. But it still keeps giving me directions or, if not navigating, I hear the over speed limit sound. Sometimes days after I have been using the program when I never thought it was still running.
Am I missing something, or is this a bug?
Android 6.0.1 Navigator 2.0.33-master
My workaround is to go to the list of running apps and force stop. But not while driving...
Clearly, if it is navigating and tracking my speed, it is using resources and battery when I am unaware of it.

"Route not found" issue
Since some weeks, I get a "route not found" error in my regular trip. This error occurs with both versions 2.1.56 and 2.0.31. I use OSM maps.

If I am on this exit, or attempt to set the start of the route here, I always get a "route not found" error, no matter the destination.
Secondarily, if I disable the toll roads, I can no longer use the highway before this exit, even if the exit is located before the toll. This issue does not occur in the opposite direction.
I checked the properties of these roads on OSM, but have found nothing suspect. So, I cannot say whether this is really an OSM issue.
This exit is one of the main roads to enter my town, so it would be really nice of you can find something.

Strange routing

i noticed a strange routing trying navigator free on Android

I've tried to find the issue on openstreetmaps but there are no broken connections or parts of the road marked as one way.

Severe instability of 2.x builds
Hi, I'm a long time Mapfactor user and since version 2.X I have serious problem with application stability.
My current phone is Asus Zenfone 5, Android 4.3, 2GB RAM and Intel Atom Z2560 SoC.
Stock software 1.18.40.10, Kernel 3.4.43. Without Google Play Services (framework is present, Google Play store works)
Application can crash anytime for no apparent reason. On early 2.0.x builds from Google Play it could barely download map data due to constant crashing.
Today I've tested version 2.1.56 and still it sooner or later crashes. Version 2.0.33 from Google Play, marked as stable on your server, isn't any better.
Enabling hardware accelerated renderer only makes things much worse. Everything works, but is very unstable.
Version 1.6.20 is the last stable version and the one I'm currently using.
It works like a charm, rock solid, but I bought premium features mega pack and wanted to upgrade :) And restarting app while driving a car is somewhat dangerous :P
I've never had any problems with 1.x series on any phone. I even have on old PXA270 Windows Mobile running MapFactor :D

germany_north - date of latest changeset?

Yesterday i downloaded the new mapfile germany_north created April 23rd. But there are streets and POIs missing that were created around April 11th.
Can you tell me how old the data is and if there are always e.g. 2 weeks from fetching data to conversion?

Alarm and map rotation on new tablet/instal SOLVED
Samsung Galaxy Tab A / MFN 2.0.30-DEVELOP OSM USA Texas map installed 11 Dec.
Very strange but on first test navigating on trip of ~150 miles on highway with speed limits in OSM map at each minor road crossing an alarm would sound and the map would rotate to the angle of the minor road then rotate back. On a highway with no speed limits in the map there was no alarm but the map would still rotate. Driving @ 60mph speed limit 70. No car profile set.
On a slightly older nook HD+ with rooted custom ROM MFN 2.0.30 and probably month old map navigation is normal. Also using external GPS receiver on the nook. But no map rotation at minor road crossings.
Anyone have any ideas why the new Tab A and new instal would rotate the map? I finally muted the sound as only way to get rid of the alarms. Sounded like a very sick goose.
