Hi,

Being an Android user this might be a strange question, but I'm curious as to where Mapfactor is going and what it is developing.

Currently there is a PC Navigator version 16 and a windows phone app (and I don't use either :) ).

Is Mapfactor developing, or considering to develop, a UWP (Universal Windows Platform) app?

To replace both the PC Navigator and the Windows Mobile phone app?

A have a problem with greece map. I have greec maps bat for every place in greece is no routing found. I give it a try everiting.

At the moment this is difficult. I have to disable the link which doesn't work quite well many times. "Detour" seems to have vanished but wasn't really good, either.

It would be better to just BLOCK the next step/part of the route I'm following. In a traffic situation I'm often confronted with sudden road blocks and thusfor I cannot follow the route any longer. My good (very) old electronic Navigon  device does that. Standard length could be 500 m.

Does NavigatorFree use relation:destination_sign? It's more advanced than key:destination (i.e. background, arrow and text colours).

v2.2.38 on Sony Xperia Z3 Compact. When I launched Navigator earlier today France has disappeared. The files are still on the SD card & all other roads in Europe are visible when zooming in. All I see of France is the coastline. I've tried deleting the France mca files & copying them from my PC but it's still not there. I'm on holiday in France with poor internet access so I can't easily download the large map files. Can anyone help?

Destiantion: Ireland, Galway City (Galway Municipal District - ...), Bridge Street - O'Brien's Bridge
No route found (simulate), crash out (calculate route)

reverse route: (Galway -> Dublin) OK for simulate or calculate
reverse again: (Dublin - Galway) OK for simulate or calculate

weird, cache issues? something did change in the last builds. Once the route is etashblished, there is no longer an issue?

sometimes after crash, added/edited My places are gone

Can you improve autozoom, taking in to account the available desktop? It is kinda not zoomed in enough. Wasted/ Unused desktop surrounding the road.

I like that I can store favourite places in the Android app. However, I am missing a function to import/export all (or a set of) favourites.

I can export a single favourite, yes. But your documentation (the pdf) is wrong on how this goes, it says "Your email client will open with a new message and a GPX attachment". No, it is an http google maps link.
Manually adding or exporting favourites one-by-one is too tedious.

In the Android app I did find your favourites.xml file where they are stored. However, I cannot make sense of the coordinates used in that file, e.g.
<item name="DAV Darmstadt Lichtwiesenweg" lat="179500992" lon="31227296"/>
How do these coordinates translate to the usual geocoordinates, for above example s.th. like lat=49.861385 lon=8.67429 ?

I would appreciate to know that translation (and think it is worth adding this info to the pdf documentation), then I could help myself.

Hello
I had bought the 6€ "Mega pack" in Navigator.
I too was a victim of the "France not showing" symptom so I uninstalled, reinstalled a few times. Now it seems to be working again but the Premium functionnalities have disappeared.
Is there a way to have them back without paying 6€ again ?

Hi,
First time on here, please forgive me for some of my terminology I'm not that good with technology!
I have Navigator 14 free on my toughbook, about a year ago I installed UK, France and Belgium maps with no problems.
In the Navigator set up I'm now trying to install Germany (south) at the end it says "operation successful" however when I go into the mapping
It doesn't appear? Are you able to help please.

... requestet to update itself a couple of weeks ago, what I agreed.

If I call the Setup utility from the Windows main menu now, it is named Navigator 15 setup utility. If opened, the version is listed as 16.0.3 (in the lower right corner).

Just omit the version number in the main menu!?

Hi
I have a phone with cyanogenmod and without google apps. If i try to buy premium features in navigator free i get the following message:
"failed to connect to your google play account"
Is it possible to buy them any other way? I refuse to install gapps but i like your software.

I had an old v14 version with an old map, it worked without problems, yesterday i updated it with the new map and no problem, but when i updated the program to v16, i can't see the map, fortunately i had done a backup so i have no serious problem, i just keep running v14 with the new map, but ... well, if there is a v16 i would like to run it ...

I also did all kind of update variations, but the results are always the same ... 

My PNA is a WayteQ x960BT with Windows CE 6.0

The v14 which runs is the v-14.1.2

The v16 which does't run was ... i don't know, the one that yesterday was online

The map which works is also the one that yesterday was online

I have used Mapfactor Navigator for many years and I like it. But I would like to use it also as a map application - I would like to have one application and one offline data set on my mobile phone. And if I tried it I had a problem. If I zoom out - data from the map disapear to quickly - I mean mostly roads but also names of towns, lines of rivers etc. - compared to a standard map applications. I tried to make changes in the colour scheme and to change the size of objects in the map - but without the good result. Can it be changed? The application would be much better when it was used as a map.

Hello,
I use this application (MapFactor Navigator v2.1.97) on Android 4.3. But still I have there one disadvantage. If I have map scale, that I see approx. 57km and more in diagonal on my display then the navigation shows only motorways and forests nothing other roads. It is possible to change display in hight scale and show roads? I can't
show forests, because it makes CPU load. This application is navigation for car, it is not a guide to green ;-).

The situation describes above is, when I have software render. When I have hardware render, then it is worse - roads dissipate
in smaller scale.

Hi,

what is proper way how to report such  issues?

Route "turn right, go 100m, turn left (180°!)" while it is possible to turn left immediately at start (I believe older version was not routing by such way).
Instructions  "turn left" displayed and navigated by voice while the turn on route is shown correctly on map as "turn right".

I've looked around (and pardon if I've missed it). Navigator 14 sets off a speed alarm for roads you're crossing. So if you're on an overpass where the speed limit is 60 and you go over a road where the speed limit is 45, it alarms. Has this been addressed in Navigator 16?
